Hi,

I have been running Fedora on my board for a while. It has been working fine but had a few performance issuses. I wanted to try Win8.1 and compare. After installing Windows BIOS (done according to the wiki article, no errors were reported) there is no video output on the HDMI port. The log from the serial console shows the board booting and running into
ERROR: Type:2; Severity:90; Class:3; Subclass:5; Operation: E
Full log: mtoman.fedorapeople.org/raw/jaguarboard_boot.log

When pressing Delete during boot, even though the screen is dead, the board seems to acknowledge it and trigger Setup. The screen remains dead though.

Based on the boot order written to the log, I would guess it is trying to execute Fedora with incorrect BIOS, but that is kind of hard to debug since there is no documentation available.

My question is - is it possible to influence boot order using the serial console? Or is it possible to flash BIOS using the serial console?
I do not necessarily need the video output to work, I would be fine with the board booting into headless mode.

Hi,

This is Rick from JaguarBoard,About your questions!
1:Can you let me know now if the HDMI device have some output when you boot the Board!
2: is it possible to influence boot order using the serial console?Or is it possible to flash BIOS using the serial console?
Now the board can't support that ,but maybe next version will support that!
We will let you know when we publish next version

Thanks for your feedback!

This same issue just happened to me. I received my board today all eager to get windows on it and POOF video died as soon as the bios flash completed (before a reboot). I have a feeling I bricked the machine. No video at all on boot. the lights flash a bit, but I don't know what state the machine is in.
I have the Jaguar Board v1.3
Is there any way to restore the bios to a factory state with a jumper or button press during boot?
If not, what are my options?

Sir, the power lost during flashing BIOS? I am afraid the BIOS is damaged.
Would you please take a video show the status after power it on?

If you use a higher amperage power supply (4A) does it still fail?
