So I've been able to successfully install RHEL 7.2 on a usb drive and boot from that, but I'd like to utilize the internal memory.
Any idea how to make this happen?

Hi Sir,
Red Hat does not include the eMMC drive in kernel, so it is impossible to boot from internal eMMC flash disk.
You can try fedora server, it is working fine.
