Anyone had success with this yet?
I bypass the NIC issue using a canakit wifi adapter, no problem there... Partitioning seems to go OK, preinstall OK - fails either on Preparing ISO codes or Language packs.... I love the idea of this board, but Ubuntu is a must!
Anyone have a different experience?

Success... use LVM Guided and defaults for partition.... default install - SSH Server. took 7 Mins, start to finish.
Ethernet driver nicely in the update packages - no issues
On to porting the application!

OK - not so fast, I am now getting eMMC timeout errors on compiling kernels - is this indicative of a bad board?
I am hearing a lot of crickets in here - anyone doing anything meaningful with these boards yet?

Let me check what is going on.

I just tried Ubuntu Server 14.04.4 on JaguarBoard, just skip the NIC detect during installation.
After installation finished, enable NIC with file /etc/network/interfaces, everything works fine. No need to do update.



BTW, i tried some tools to create USB bootable drive with ubuntu ISO file, only Win32DiskImager is working, pls notice that.

Thanks for the info - I am getting eMMC Errors all over the place. I'll start from scratch again and report back later on.
I use a Mac do I convert the iso to an img and then dd it over - it takes the UEFI info with it - shouldn't be the issue.
