TOPIC: Getting I2C to work off the board

Getting I2C to work off the board 4 years 8 months ago #2334

Hello,

I've got a pca9685 board that I am trying to get the Jaguar to talk to over I2C. I've the the board wired correctly as it works on my raspberry pi3.

I just cannot get i2cdetect to see the board. Any suggestions?

Thank you,
CM

Hi Sir,

Please check the link here:
www.jaguarboard.org:8090/display/ED/Jagu...f+External+Interface
i2c is Pin 5 and 6.
And you can use following commands to detect i2c device:

i2c.png

It should be i2c-8, the 2nd bus of 5 Synopsys I2C adapters.

Thank you Tim for getting back to me.

I wish I could report that it works. I am still having issues with it.

I've upgrade my OS to Fedora 27. I've attached to pins 1 (GND),2 (V3.3),5 (SCL), and 6 (SDA) to my PCA9685. I've ran through i2cdetect 0 to 11. My PCA9685 is not detected.

I'd love to get rid of the Raspberry Pi3 I am using to control the servos.

An suggestions?

Thank you,
CM
