There is nothing to do with the SD card, when you power on the board, press F11 to choose the USB thumb, it will lead a windows installer.
Pls show me screenshot here if there is something wrong during the installation.

My theory is that I accidentally installed android on internal memory and somehow it is overriding my choice for startup disk. Just a wild guess.

You made a mistake on creating usb bootable drive, pls choose MBR partition scheme for UEFI:

keep everything default but Partition scheme as above picture. And make sure your ISO file is original from Microsoft website, not a customized one.

BTW, can you post the picture of BIOS setting here, i need to confirm it is 32 bit uefi for windows, not 64 bit uefi for linux.

Unfortunately I have version 2.7 of Rufus and those exact settings are not possible. I can get all of the settings except that I cannot see the 'Standard Windows Installation' radio button. In my version there are no radio options.

Trying again anyway.
